No ! We, Malaysian Are Not Racist !! We do not discriminate !!

I had been injected the mindset of racism ever since I was a toddler. My parents unintentionally divided our lovely society into obvious race groups rather than educating me to love each other. Their thought might be harmless but it is up to us to justify how our society shall be. Most of the Malaysian younger generation are well educated to aware on how vital of not been racist neither to discriminate in any form. Upset enough that I’m surrounded by this form of people. We are born as who and how we are meant to be. There is no pre-ordering from our parents on our skin colours, our religion neither on our race. We should all be graceful of this wonderful gift and learn to appreciate how other people are meant to be different from you.

We, the Malaysian like to blame and condemn on specific issue by pointing the finger on particular race itself. Let’s not label the Malay as been impolite in the government sector. I had seen the Chinese which are equally evil.  At the same time, I have met Malay which are well-mannered and respectful. We should all aware that it is the mindset that does the pollution not the race, the religion or the skin colours.

Once a foreigner commented that Thailand seemed to be a more unite country than Malaysia. Simply because Thais are bond together under one language. The uniqueness of being a Malaysian is we are all multilingual. The Bahasa Malaysia as the national language is meant to be the join among all the multi races. Now, how many of us mastered the language at least for communication purpose? Being a Chinese myself, I’m surrounded my people who will only willing to study Mandarin and neglected the importance of other languages. This is indeed naïve and narrow minded. Instead of complaining that the country does not giving you a chance why not to learn and to adapt as a part of the society.

Malaysia  is a wonderful country. A nation that have mosque, church and temple together in the same row, same location. A homeland where the people are celebrating all their festive season together. We should all be graceful of where we are now and starting to appreciate the different cultures around us.

Dude, you wrote sense, and you wrote it well. And yes, it is quite true to say that many of the older generation are still stuck in a narrow mindset (my relatives included). Lucky thing, some of us are more open and aware of the people around us. But there are still many young adults who unfortunately, are easily influenced by their older peeps. Sigh..

It is very sad that even in today's modern society, this is exactly what is happening. I try not to make the same mistake with my daughter...
